Co-hosted with Footprints of Michigan, the Lansing MI center held a 'Chicken Soup for the Sole' event on Christmas Eve, providing dinner, coats, gloves, hats, shoes, and boots to all who were homeless. Over 100 people were served dinner, ages ranging from 1 to 70 years old. The center's community partner Biggby Coffee also joined the cause, donating hot cocoa and coffee. CSL provided the chicken soup meal along with coats, hats, and gloves that donors donated, while Footprints of Michigan offered the shoes and boots. The center was pleased to be able to serve those in need during the holidays.
