How To Donate

Many protective safety measures are in place to help ensure our CSL Plasma collection centers are safe.

As you enter a CSL Plasma donation center for the first time, you will be greeted by one of our friendly staff. You'll be asked to provide a valid form of identification, proof of residency and proof of your social security number. Next, you will answer some questions. Then our medical staff will review your medical history and conduct a physical examination (check your vitals) to verify your eligibility as a donor.

Once all eligibility requirements have been met, you will begin the process of donating your plasma. Upon completion of your donation, you will be compensated for your time with a reloadable prepaid card.

What to Expect

We collect your plasma using a special process called plasmapheresis that separates the plasma from the blood and collects it in a bottle. We use a sophisticated high-tech machine that safely collects the plasma and returns the other parts of the blood back to you. The collection process usually takes approximately 90 minutes.

Compensation for Your Time

Because plasma donation takes more time than a blood donation, CSL Plasma donors are compensated for their time. At the conclusion of your donation, your compensation is loaded directly onto a reloadable card and is immediately ready for use. While fees vary by location, eligible, qualified donors can get paid up to $400 each month for donating life-saving plasma.
